They would do this by cutting the top off of the shoe box, tilting it on its side, and designing everything inside the box. Another activity you could have them do with the rhyme they chose is to draw a picture storyline of what goes on in the story, in a timeline form.

Extension- This book is made for parents to read to their little kids so an easy extension would be to sing the rhymes with the children. They are all easy and catchy! Also, you could have them color pictures of the different characters in the book.

Summary: -This Mother Goose book is filled with children's favorite rhymes. This would be a great book to read to your own child for a bed time store since there are so many rhymes it would be great to read one per night. It has rhymes such as Hey Diddle Diddle, Mary had a Little Lamb, There was an Old Woman who lived in a shoe and so on. Children at most young ages would love this book.

Make a rhyme as a class since the children would be to young to make their own.
