Summary: This is a great alphabet book for children. The story has the usual 26 letters of the alphabet displayed however; there is something unique about this ABC book. The book illustrates different items you would find at the market place that begins with the letter shown for every letter present. Anita Lobel creates the character completely out of the market item for the letter being presented. For example, the letter A is shown. The illustration is a women completely made out of apple, which is the market item that relates to the letter A. This is a great book for ABC learning.

Extension Activity: Have the kids practice writing the letters in their names and then putting them together to form their name.
