This adapted story tells the tale of a talking rooster named Chanticleer. Chanticleer has a dream that a scary beast emerges from the bushes and attacks him. Because they had never seen such a creature, Chanticleer's favorite hen convinces him that there is nothing to worry about. However, a fox emerges from the bushes and tricks Chanticleer into cuckcooing so that the fox can grab Chanticleer's neck in his mouth. As the fox runs away with Chanticleer, Chanticleer is able to trick the fox into speaking. This gives Chanticleer the chance to escape and return to his home.
