Summary: The letters are climbing up the coconut tree in the order they are in the alphabet but there are so many that there's not enough room in the tree and they all fall out! Then, they all get out of the pile in order again. The sun goes down and there's a full moon. In the end, A is climbing up the tree again saying, "dare double dare, you can't catch me. I'll beat you to the top of the coconut tree."

Extension Activity: Have the kids practice writing their alphabet with a sheet of paper with the letters in dotted dashes and then eventually empty lines. Have a big coconut tree and have each child decorate a letter from the alphabet to put on it. Give each child a different letter and have them decorate it with other things that start with the same letter.
