Summary: A little boy makes the mistake of throwing a muffin to a moose outside his window. Suddenly the moose is walking right through his door wanting some jam to go with his muffin! When they're gone, he wants more. So the boy puts on a sweater to go to the store but the moose will want to go with! So he asks for a sweater but one of the buttons is loose so he asks for some needle and thread which reminds him of sock puppets. So he asks for some socks and make makes puppets but wants to make scenery for it. But, he asks for a sheet because his antlers are showing but the sheet reminds him of halloween and puts it over himself like a ghost and yells BOO! But, he scares himself and knocks over the paints! So, he cleans up and sees the blackberry bushes in the backyard which reminds him of jelly which then reminds of him muffins to go with it.
Extension Activity: Have the children write their own story starting with picking an animal and a food they want to eat. Have them draw it out like in the book having the animal doing crazy things that eventually leads back to them wanting to do the first thing they were doing in the beginning.
