Summary- This book is about a firefly who is born and is trying to find light. He sees all these different things that are lit but realizes they are not other fireflies like him. He sees a candle, and owls eyes, a lantern and some other things. At the end of the book he finally finds some friends, more fireflies.
Extension Activity- For this extension activity you could have the students make fireflies. You could you use cardboard for the body and construction paper for the wings. For antenas you could use pipe cleaners.
