-
In this collection of Mother Goose nursery rhymes, each short rhyme is accompanied by a small but vibrant illustration. Then, the following page is completely illustrated with a village scene containing all of the small pictures from the rhymes. This arrangement of having the pages alternating between text and large illustration is engaging; children can enjoy the short rhymes alongside the small pictures, and then try to find where each small picture is within the large illustration on the following page.

Extension Activity: - Students will each choose (or be assigned) a nursery rhyme. They will be responsible for memorizing the short rhyme and presenting it in front of the class. On the day of the presentations, each student should dress like the subject(s) of their respective rhymes.

-Students will research where the common Mother Goose rhymes are suspected to have originated. If no information can be found, students will be able to imagine how they think the rhymes came about.
