Summary- This book is about an eleven year old boy who travels the road of Medieval England with his father. He visits towns and meets a variety of different people. Adams father suddently disappears and Nick his dog is stolen. Adam searches alone for his family. He walks down roads filled with merchants, pilgrims and farmers, priests, saints and thieves. He ends up finding his father and dog in the crowd.
Extension Activity- You could have the students do some research on Midieveal England. They could do a report on what they learned. Also, you could have the students research Newberry books. Form groups of 5-6 and give each group a book that they need to present to the class.
