His family is so proud of him. There is a prize for the first person to fly across the English Channel. He starts the engine and starts to fly up over the Channel. it took him thirty-six minutes to get over the Channel.

Extension Activities: - Have the children construct an airplane that can coast through the air with popsicle sticks, glue and many colors.
