Summary: This is a story about a boy who is put under the spotlight for a crime he didn't commit. Stanley Yelnats is the boy who is under the spotlight. When he is sent to a juvenile correctional facility he soon realizes that there is a lot more going on in these places that he thought and that everyone else thinks. Stanley has is followed by alot of bad luck that we learn about while reading this story.

Extension Activity: Teach the kids about being safe. Tell that that they should always have a buddy with them at all times incase something were to happen. Explain the risks of not having a buddy with them.
