Summary: This book is a combination of many of the fairy tales we hear as we grow up. Jack the narrator is trying to tell the stories, but the table of contents falls into the story of Chicken Licken and all the characters are crushed. Then some of the other stories changed the way they end or different parts of the story. For example, instead of Princess and the Pea it's the Princess and the Bowling Ball. Jack changes many different things in many different fairy tales.
Extension Activity: The kids will pick their favorite fairy tale that they have heard from their parent/guardian while growing up. They will think of different ways for them to change the stories. They can't use any of the ideas from this book, they have to make sure they are coming up with their own ideas.
