Summary: This book is all about opposites. Topics discussed are right & left, open& closed, in & out, up & down, far & near, front & back, little & big, thin & thick, empty & full, few & many, and hot & cold. This is a great concept book for kids learning about how things work in the world. After reading this book, kids will hopefully be more aware of what opposites are.

Extension Activity: Teacher would provide a worksheet for the children. On the worksheet there would be drawings of different concepts- such as near, up, hot, open, thin, etc. The children would be asked to draw the opposite concept of the drawing on the worksheet. Example: If thin was depicted some how on the worksheet with a drawing (maybe a thin pencil) the children would need to draw something opposite but of the same object (a thick pencil). This would be done to an assortment of different objects so kids could understand the concept of opposites.
