Summary: Mrs. Connor was teaching her first grade class about the fall and leaves.  Mrs. Connor explained to the class that in some states the leaves don't change. So that students decided to share their leaves with a class in a different state.  They went outside and picked all different colors of leaves and all different types.  They boxed all the leaves up and sent them to Mr. Soto's class.  They loved the leaves and sent a thank you card to Mrs. Connor's class.  This is a good book for kindergartners and first graders. It shows sharing, colors, and different types of leaves.
Extension Activities:
Have the class do our own leaf project.  Find a class that doesn't have changed leaves and send them leaves. Have the children identify the leave names and colors.  Write the class a note about the leaves we sent.
