Summary: This is a fun book made for preschoolers to first graders . It helps children with basic vocabulary, understanding simple stories and short sentences.  It also helps children recognize familiar words and sound out new words.  This book is about P.J. Funnybunny. His dad gets him a magic kid. P.J. is so excited. He starts reading the magic book and it tells him to practice, practice, practice. So he does.  He practices so hard that he puts on a magic show.  His whole family is very impressed. But when he tries to impress them again with the same tricks they are no longer impressed.  So he decides to perform the best trick every. All of a sudden....POOF!!! He is gone.  His grandparents come over and his mom goes looking for him. She can't find him, but then TA DA!!! He reappears out of his hat and everyone is impressed! It was the best trick ever!
Extension Activities:
There is a magic trick in the back of the book that shows how to make a coin disappear.  Give every child a piece of paper and a coin and have them try it out.
