Summary:The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza is just like the old mother goose story with a twist.  The Little Red Hen is hungry so she decides to make a small pizza.  She has tomato sauce but nothing else.  She asks the duck, dog and cat if they have a round pizza pan. They all say "Not I". The hen says "Very well, then I'll fetch one myself.  She then she gets it herself.  She keeps asking duck, dog and cat to do things and they never want to help.  But at the end she takes it out of the oven and it is lovely but it was not little! So she asks duck, dog and cat if they would like some pizza. They all said "YES". They were all very happy. So the Little Red Hen asks "Who will help me with dishes?" And duck, dog, and cat all said "We will". So even though they didn't help make the pizza they did help clean up.
Extension Activities:
The kids would get a big round circle that looked like a pizza and they could cut out construction paper to put their favorite toppings on their pizza.
