--Students will pick one letter and the corresponding factoid from the book and do further research on a similar topic on a different continent, such as South America. The class will collectively create an alphabet book that describes the similarities and differences between the two continents. For example, using the letter "C." In Africa, the C is for Calabash, a type of inedible fruit that grows on tress. In South America, the C is for Cassia, a type of tree or shrub that is common throughout the continent.
