Summary- This is a story of a kitten that sees the moon in the sky but thinks it's a big bowl of milk. She tries to find a way to get to the bowl of milk. She tries to lick it, jump for it and she even tries to climb a tree to reach it. After jumping into a pond where she sees and even bigger bowl of milk she heads home only to find a real bowl of milk waiting for her.
Extension Activity- Have the kids draw a picture of their backyard with the moon in it. Also have them talk with their classmates about what they thought the moon was when they were little kids.
